The Creative Process

”All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.“

The Key to Creating

The scriptures are inspired by God, provide instruction, and everything needed to be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work that God created for you to do. It is the key to creating.  Yes, the design direction you desire can be found in the scriptures.  This includes your business and using your gift and skills to do what you love, Create! Most of all, it delivers every need so that you can be complete and thoroughly equipped for every good work. Will you read the scriptures so that you can be complete and thoroughly equipped?

 ”Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.“

II Peter 1:2-4 NKJV

Life & Godliness

As a creative, there are a multitude of possibilities and outcomes.  The knowledge of God is divine and available to you. It can be found within the bible and is key to knowing the difference between what is true and what is imagined. Do you want answers or to hear God speak?  Seek the knowledge of God through the bible. Choose to read His word to obtain knowledge and in doing so obtain all that you need for life and godliness. EVERYTHING you need for life and godliness.  You need the knowledge of God to hear His voice and for everything in life, including creating as part of God-prepared good works, receiving the precious promises and partaking in divine nature. Many creatives crave divine counters. Will you satisfy your craving through the scriptures and knowledge of God.

The Point: 

 If you want more of God, (saved by grace through faith) to know His will (the good works He created for you to do and has given you a desire and gift to do), then create space to seek the Lord through His word (the Bible).  

Let’s Start

You don’t have to get ready. Just start and know that the one who created you, every single detail as it is, as it was, and as it will be, knows how to speak to you, comfort you, guide you, and care for you.  Will you trust God with the details even more than your clients trust you?

Let’s Create! 

Environments matter.  Create time and space, no matter how big or small, for your time with the Lord. Design a routine and environment. Then, you will obtain everything you need for life and godliness. Consider what inspires versus distracts and start somewhere. Don’t compare, just do. 

Let’s Go

Find a church home. Start online or in person. Check the sermon against the scripture and receive from the Lord! Remember, there is no perfect man-made church because the humans are limited and mistake prone. But you can find somewhere to grow with others in Christ, according to the scriptures and have some fun in community. Alone, is not recommended as it leaves the creative mind to it’s own devices all of the time.

It’s the perfect imperfect adventure for imperfect people asking questions of a perfect God who loves us perfectly.
